What is AlignEat?

AlignEat is a smart food companion app that scans restaurant menus and tells you what's safe to eat based on your allergies, intolerances, religious dietary laws, and health goals.

How does AlignEat work?

AlignEat uses advanced AI to read and analyze restaurant menus in real-time. It cross-references the ingredients in each dish against your personal dietary profile.

Is AlignEat available in my country?

AlignEat is launching first in the UAE (Dubai and Abu Dhabi), with plans to expand to the GCC region, then globally. Our menu scanning technology works with menus in 40+ languages.

Which languages does AlignEat support?

AlignEat can scan and translate menus in over 40 languages, including Arabic, English, French, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Korean, Hindi, and many more.

Scanning & Features

How accurate is the menu scanning?

Our dynamic database achieves over 97% accuracy in dish identification and ingredient matching. However, AlignEat is here to empower you not replace your own knowledge, we always recommend informing restaurant staff about severe allergies or reactions.

Can I scan digital menus or QR code menus?

Yes! AlignEat works with printed menus, digital menus displayed on screens, QR code menu links, and even handwritten specials boards.

What dietary restrictions does AlignEat support?

AlignEat supports your complete dietary profile: allergies, intolerances, religious dietary requirements, and health goals. You can custom add requirements or diets.

What is Group Mode?

Group Mode lets you combine multiple profiles to find dishes that are safe to eat for everybody in the group.

Pricing & Billing

Is there a free plan?

Yes! Our free plan includes 5 free scans per month for basic menu scanning.

What's the difference between Solo, Couple and Family plans?

The most distinctive feature between these plans is the number of profiles you can create. Solo supports one dietary profile, Couple supports you and your significant other while Family allows you to create up to 5 profiles. We also have an Add-on feature to add one profile to Couple and Family plans.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period.

Privacy & Data

What data do you collect?

We collect only the data necessary to provide our service: your dietary profile, scan history, and basic account information. We might make your anonymised data accessible for medical, wellness and dietary research purpose in order to help the dietary restricted community be better understood.

Is my health data safe?

Absolutely. All personal data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We follow GDPR and DIFC data protection guidelines.

Can restaurants see my dietary data?

No. Restaurants never have access to your personal dietary profile or scan history.

Do you sell data to advertisers?

Never. We have a strict no-data-sales policy. Our revenue comes exclusively from premium subscriptions.

Technical Support

The app isn't scanning my menu. What should I do?

Make sure you have good lighting and hold your phone steady. Try adjusting the angle or distance. If issues persist, contact our support team.

Can I use AlignEat offline?

Offline scanning is available on the Family plan. You can download restaurant data before your trip.

Which devices are supported?

AlignEat is available for iPhone (iOS 15+) and Android (Android 10+). We also have a web app for desktop browsers.

How do I report an incorrect safety rating?

Tap the 'Report' button on any dish result. Our team reviews all reports within 24 hours.
